Police Charge Fair Lawn Driver Who Slammed Into Three Poles With DWI

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Fair Lawn police said a local man was intoxicated when his SUV slammed into three utility poles.

The Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps took Sean Sullivan, 40, to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center following Friday's crash at Plaza Road and Waverly Avenue just after 11 p.m., Sgt. Brian Metzler said Monday.

A family member picked up the retired U.S. Marine, a father of two, at the hospital, he said.

Police charged him with DWI, failing to maintain a lane, reckless driving, careless driving and failing to produce the required documents.
